  • BS in Mathematics from U of M, Morris
  • Masters in Mathematics from Bemidji State University

Goals as MCTM President:

VP work is mainly organizing the spring conference. The Spring Conference Committee has worked hard to create a great conference. As High School VP, my goal would be to continue to organize a conference that has quality sessions with a diversity of topics and grade-levels. It will be especially important to continue the focus on equity throughout the conference. Mainly, I want to make sure it is two days of professional development that welcomes, engages, and inspires everyone who attends.

Professional Affiliations:

I am a member of MCTM and NCTM.

Involvement with MCTM and Mathematics Education:

I served as the MCTM Region 7 Director from 2017 to 2020. During this time, we incorporated new activities in the regions, including book studies, trivia nights and math edcamps. Outside of MCTM, I have facilitated cohorts, organized workshops, and presented sessions for math teachers in the NW region of MN. I have also presented many sessions at various conferences. Although I teach in high school, I have researched elementary math education and have presented at that level also.
