If you are like me, it is easy to get overwhelmed or dive into a rabbit hole when you are given a vast amount of resources. Probably one of the most helpful documents out there right now, MDE’s One Stop Doc is so thorough that it is hard to decide where to start. I would like to take this moment to share with you one of my favorite links to explore on this resource: the Benchmark Achievement Level Descriptors (aka, BALDs). Have you ever wondered what is specifically expected of your students for each benchmark? Do you know what the difference between Partially Meets and Meets is for a specific benchmark? You can find all of that and more here. I use these constantly as I try to reflect on how I should progress student-thinking and in my planning. This is an extremely useful tool and I hope you check it out!
