Mathematics Standards Progression across Grades
The Minnesota Department of Education has recently republished the Mathematics Standards Progression across Grades, and it is now located on the Testing 1, 2, 3 website (testing123.education.mn.gov > Plan and Teach > Standards Based Learning Goals > Resources). This document provides The Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards in Mathematics in a format that shows progressions of the standards across grades. The graphic below provides a visual of the progressions across grades.
In the document, the pages following the graphic show the standards and benchmarks arranged in these progressions. The first progression is shown below.
This format of the standards is helpful for educator teams in their school and district planning across grades. In addition, it is also essential for helping grade-level teams understand each standard at its specific grade level.
