Exciting Professional Learning Opportunity for K-2 Educators

Thanks to a generous donation, MCTM is thrilled to offer FREE professional development for K-2 educators on August 18 and 19, 2026, at Hamline University. Dr. Terry Wyberg from the University of Minnesota will lead the sessions. These in-person dates will be followed by virtual reflection sessions and coaching opportunities. Participants may choose to earn one or two Hamline credits for a fee.

The experience will emphasize:

  • The development of mathematical thinking in K-2 students
  • Teaching practices that interpret and support student growth in mathematical concepts
  • Understanding developmental frameworks and learning trajectories in counting principles and early algebraic thinking
