Introducing MCTM’s New Acting Executive Director
The MCTM Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Sharon Burrell as Acting Executive Director for Ellen Delaney who is taking a medical leave.
Sharon’s background is as an elementary educator in private schools in St. Paul and North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale Schools; elementary math curriculum chairperson and K-12 Curriculum Coordinator for North St. Paul; Supervisor of Professional Learning in St. Louis Park. Recently retired and currently consulting and serving on the Board of Directors for Minnesota Learning Forward.
Sharon shares, “I am honored to serve as the Acting Executive Director for the Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Mathematics education has been a passion and focus for me. I have had the opportunity to learn with and support students, educators, and parents in mathematics education throughout my career.”
