However, as the students and I began working together, I realized all the classes I had taken, books I had read, and planning I had done still could not possibly prepare me for unique situations I would face (these are unpredictable 12 and 13-year-olds after all!)

MCTM CONNECT is a resource provided by MCTM to make sure beginning teachers feel supported and connected to the profession. Our biggest event is the CONNECT Session which is held from 7:00-9:00 PM this year on Thursday, April 28, the evening before the MCTM Spring Conference in Duluth, at the DECC.

MCTM CONNECT (Committee to Orient and Network New/Novice Educators into a Community of (Math) Teaching) is an MCTM initiative that aims to provide support for pre-service mathematics teachers and those in their first few years in the profession.
