Supplemental Math Resources from MDE

On the Pearson Perspective website (https://mn.pearsonperspective.com/perspective) there are hundreds of FREE resources available to you and your students. Teachers can create their own educator account to create assignments, lessons, and build your own tests that can be given to students. Students can access assignments and lessons online using the code generated for the assignment created by their teacher or they can use the Learning LocatorTM code assigned to them on page 2 of their Individual Student Report (ISR).

Here is a demo video of the website that MDE made. It shows some of the features and how they work.

For teachers to create their own account and learn more about the features of the website follow the instructions in the quick guide PDF below.

MN Educator Quick Start

For students to access the references selected for them based on their previous year’s MCA results they need to look at page 2 of their student’s Individual Student Report (ISR). Students who took the spring MCA exam receive their ISRs by fall conference time. Learning LocatorTMcodes are assigned based on a student’s performance in each strand. A student’s Learning LocatorTM code is on page 2 of the report under the Reading, Mathematics, and Science (when applicable) Performance Details. To see an example of this on an ISR go to: http://minnesota.pearsonaccessnext.com/resources/resources-training/reporting/MCA_sample_Individual_Student_Report.pdf

Below is a demo of what the student would see after logging in with their Learning LocatorTMcode from the ISR. The student will also access everything using the Perspective website https://mn.pearsonperspective.com/perspective.

We hope you and your students find the supplemental resources helpful. As always, please do not hesitate to contact Angela and Ann with any questions or concerns.
